Amy Jackson is the artist and designer behind Salty Hippo Studio. With an education in architecture and a career in graphic design, she brings a love of typography, pattern, and visual storytelling to her work.
Amy begins each design by drawing and experimenting by hand, then translating those marks and textures into screen-printed compositions. She embraces the imperfections and unexpected moments that emerge through the process, giving her work its distinctive mix of bold graphic pattern and expressive, organic line.
She believes the objects we create and surround ourselves with should bring us joy. Through Salty Hippo Studio, Amy mixes design, language, and laughter to create fabrics that are playful, personal, and never too serious—inviting makers to bring that same spirit into their own work and everyday lives.
Amy lives and works in a historic building in Chillicothe, Missouri, which she shares with two cats and one very fluffy dog.
